Currently, customers use robotic arm for palletizing, and when the goods reach a certain quantity, they are transpored out by AGV carts.
Under certain circumstances, a worker accidently enters robotic woring area through the cargo exit. At this time, if without safety protection device, people will be hurt by internal robot. it is necessary to solve the problem that when a worker accidentlly enters the robots's working dangerous area through the cargo exit. it can be detected and an alarm can be sounded to shut down the internal robots which can be only re-start after eliminating danger.
When cargo are in and out, they can be in and out normally, and the internal robot will not stop. At this time, the muting function of safety light curtain is needed. It is often used in places where materials frequently enter and exit. The safety function of safety light curtain can be muted for a certain period of time, so as not to interrupt processing and ensure production efficiency.

Solution
According to the site and requirement, ESPE designed a conprehensive safety solution for customer.
One pair of safety light curtain is deployed at the entrance and exit, 4 pairs of sensors are deployed along the inside and outside of the channel.
(1) Entrance layout, the auxiliary curtain position and deployment of mechanical protection should ensure people cannot walk through the door to the dangerous area when system is in the muting state. The length of cargo should be greater than the size of the auxiliary curtain deployment, that is, d4>d5;
(2) Muting curtain should be installed very close to the safety, d1 and d3 can not exceed (d1+d3<200mm), at the same time, d1 & d3>V* system response time. d1 & d3 are the distances from the sensor to the safety light curtain respectively.
(3) The distance between any two close muting curtain should be sufficient so that they cannot be triggered by human feet at the same time (d2>250mm)
Application
1. The protetcion height of safety light curtain
Shenzhen ESPE safety light curtain meet IEC61496 (Type 4) and ISO 13849.1 (Cat. 4 /PLe) safety standard, according to ISO13855:2010 (Positioning of safety protection devices related to mechanical safety and human body approach speed" and on site analysis, the height of the safety light curtain is recommended to be at least 600mm. The safety protection height starts from the ground, the frist LED is 300mm above the ground, and the highest light spot is 900mm above the ground, which can be prevent people from drilling in from below and stepping in from above. This solution specifies the protection height for the customer 620mm.
2. Realize safety protection for separation of people and goods.
When the goods block two sensors at the same time, muting triggered, AGV can enter normally. But people cannot block two sensors at the same time, so when people block the light curtain, muting cannot be triggered, the light curtain work and alarm, and internal robot will stop working.
3. Meet safety design of safety standard
